  • Takikawa – 1

    Long walk to Takikawa and still haven’t had breakfast. Tried banana latte from a vending machine, but there was a coffee flavour.

    Another end of line. As we clambered off the train we were greeted by giggling infants handing out hand-coloured postcards and a “Save Shin-Totsukawa” man holding a dog with a station master’s costume.

    Plan for today: Train from Sapporo to Ishikari-Tobetsu Change to only daily train to Shin-Totsukawa Walk 4.3 kilometres to Takikawa Station. Train for Fukagawa Change to train to Rumoi Eat ramen at Rumoi Train back to Fukagawa Train to Takikawa Train to Higashi-Shikagoe Train back to Furano Meet up with the others.
